JAX 2020 Attendee Information

Due to coronavirus pandemic: New date for JAX 2020

Every year we look forward to discussing the technologies and trends in the Java world with you at JAX. We plan to do so this year as well, but at a later date. In view of the global coronavirus pandemic, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to move the conference to another date.

Therefore, JAX will take place from September 7 to 11, 2020, in the usual place, the Rheingoldhalle in Mainz.

We have decided to take this step, even though there are currently no official guidelines for the time after April 20. However, it is important to us to counter the uncertainty with a clear statement, ensuring all parties know where they stand.

At the same time, we are concerned about the well-being of our participants, speakers and sponsors and, last but not least, our own employees; when it comes to health, no risks should be taken.

Thanks to our incredibly agile and motivated team, and thanks to the support of the city of Mainz, for whom JAX is an important highlight every year, we have managed to put this alternative plan for our great conference into action in record time!

Conferences are lively places for knowledge transfer, inspiration and personal exchange. As such, almost 20 years ago, JAX became one of Europe’s leading events and a driving force for an entire industry – all thanks to your interest, your commitment and your loyalty! Let’s just look at it this way: This year we are not meeting in spring but in late summer. We are looking forward to it already!

Booked tickets will remain valid and the planned program structure will be maintained. The only change is the date.

Until then, we hope that you, your families, and all those close to you stay healthy, and hopefully get through this time full of unexpected challenges. We look forward to welcoming you back in September and then having a fantastic JAX week with you in Mainz!

On behalf of the whole JAX team: Sebastian Meyen (Conference Chair)
